Why so early?
The holiest prayer of the day is the sunrise prayer, or Netz HaChamah. In fact, the Shulchan Aruch suggests that praying at Netz could be a greater deed than praying with a Minyan. Avraham Avinu himself awoke early in the morning, as it says "VaYashkem Avraham BaBoker..."
Our Rabbis have taught us that "Zerizin Makdimin L'Mitzvot" - one should hurry to do a Mitzvah as soon as possible. In this case, it is our sincere wish to bring Baby Halevy into the family of Avraham Avinu as early as possible on the eighth day - which begins at sunrise.
Additionally, Morenu HaRav Yaakov Peretz zt"l taught that at sunrise, no evil exists in the world. The evildoers and their friends are all fast asleep in bed, leaving the lines of communication to HaKadosh Baruch Hu the clearest of all. With the birds chirping as the sun rises, we hope to name Baby Halevy as a proud member of Am Yisrael!
We cannot wait to see you there!
Gifts
Devorah and I thank you for thinking of us at this happy time, but would like to remind you that gifts are not at all necessary!
If you are nonetheless interested in giving a gift, we ask that you kindly consider the gift of a donation to Shiviti as the best option!
Nothing is more meaningful than partnering with us and enabling us to continue our lifelong mission of illuminating the world with the light of HaKadosh Baruch Hu's Torah.
