Upcoming Events at Kehillat Shaar HaShamayim!

General Kehillah Meeting: NEXT SUNDAY

We announced a general meeting for THIS Sunday, but due to a number of requests, the meeting is called for next Sunday, February 7th.

All KSH members, regulars and friends are encouraged to attend and share their insight and feedback.

Rabbi Yonatan announced our newest initiative - "Let's Grow Together" on Tu B'Shevat!

We are encouraging all participants of classes, Tefillah, or any other events to bring your friends to experience the beauty of our Kehillah!

The Rabbi recommended that between now and Pesach, each Kehillah member should take it upon themselves to invite at least one guest for a Shabbat, or a meal, or an event, or a class - anything you find meaningful and wish to share!

ENGAGEMENT PARTY!

Eli and Shaina Kahn cordially invite you to the engagement party of their daughter, Malka, which will take place on February 7th at 4 pm.

The party is at the home of Shoshanah Kahn and Aaron Shechter, 545 Clubhouse Road, Woodmere, NY 11598.

NEW! our Virtual Bet Midrash

Techelet! Blue strings are back!

Rabbi Yonatan delivered a presentation to the Night Kollel about the rediscovery of the Biblical "Chilazon", which was traditionally used to dye the blue string in the Tzitzit.

Many of the Kollel members have decided to purchase their own, authentic set of Techelet strings despite their high cost ($80 for four strings). If any other men would like to join us just for this Mitzvah, you are more than welcome!

If you would like to take part in the Mitzvah of Techelet, you can help us subsidize this holy endeavor for those who may need help. Please respond to this email or speak to the Rabbi privately.

Mazal Tov! Our Kollel Finished Siman 8 of Shulchan Aruch!

Mazal Tov to the gentlemen of our Night Kollel on completing the eighth chapter of Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law)!

We will celebrate with a dinner and Siyum on Monday, February 8th, b'ezrat Hashem.

Kollel members (even if you don't come as often as you wish), their spouses and families are warmly invited to join us. More information to follow.
