Do you have a moment? A Mid-Summer Appeal from the Rabbi
If you have already donated, kindly accept this email as a warm thank you!
UPDATE: We are almost there - but not in the clear yet! Please accept this as a friendly reminder to join the KSH Mid-Summer Appeal campaign!
You know how much I despise fundraising and how rare it is for me to turn to you for financial assistance. But for the sake of our beautiful community – I need to reach out for your help to make ends meet this summer.
In the last three years, we have a built a glorious Kehillah together, one that is a source of pride and joy for each and everyone of us. The summer months are always difficult, but this summer in particular, I find myself trying to keep this ship sailing and I am asking you to partner with us in ensuring that our Kehillah can sail smoothly through the summer!
How can you help? Just answer YES to one of these three questions!
Three Ways To Help!
1. Membership. Are you ready to become a proud member of Kehillat Shaar HaShamayim, or - if you already are a member - upgrade your membership? (Monthly membership rates are: Single, $72; Family, $101; Donor, $180 or $360)
2. Rent. Would you join us in our mission of impacting lives at the Kehillat Shaar HaShamayim campus by generously sponsoring a month (or half-month) of rent?
(Rent at our main campus currently costs us $1554 a month. Just 12 such monthly sponsorships, or even half-month sponsorships at $777, will take a great financial burden off of our community and allow us to focus on the things that are truly important.)
With love, thanks, and many blessings for a beautiful and enjoyable summer, Rabbi Yonatan Y. Halevy Spiritual Leader Shiviti – Kehillat Shaar HaShamayim

Rabbi and Rabbanit's Visit To Israel: See bottom of email for exciting news!
Personal Prayer Submission
Dearest friends and members,
As Devorah and I get ready to take a journey to our homeland - for the first time with both our children, I cannot help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude to Hashem. It is with that in mind that our hearts overflow with love how you have been so good to us and this beautiful community we call home!
We would like to give back in the form of praying for you and yours at various holy spots around Israel. (Also, since we have been asked many times to bring Tzedakah to those who need, we have added that option to our form. It is just that - optional!)
May all your Tefillot be answered and may you pray for us to return rejuvenated and ready for an incredible holiday of Shavuot, full of productivity and growth together with all of our friends in our beautiful community, Amen!
With so much love and so many blessings, Rabbi Yonatan Halevy
A number of people have expressed interest to visit Israel with us. We would love to go to Israel with you and are open to exploring this idea together!
Our ideal trip would not be some touristy trip, but rather a "going native" and spiritual trip to Israel, mostly spent in Jerusalem and other holy places that are of great significance to us and what inspired us to do what we do!
To experience Israel in a completely different way; to meet giants like HaRav Peretz and the Stoliner Rebbe, to sit and learn in Yeshivah, to pray at holy places, to meet the soul behind the stones - to do this the Kehillat Shaar HaShamayim way! The next season it is affordable to go to Israel is between Sukkot and Chanukah.
If you are interested - please respond to this email letting us know you're interested in joining a an initial, non-committal meeting after Shavuot!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
